Juan Carlos Díaz David

Spanish & French Instructor

Being originally from Cuba, having spent 11 years in Quebec, and living in the U.S. since 2019, Juan Carlos is a lover of language teaching and learning. He originally studied Microbiology at the University of Havana, graduated in 2003, and worked 3 years at an Animal Virology Laboratory. Juan Carlos' great passion for languages also led him to learn English and French. In 2010, he obtained a certificate in Translation of English/French into Spanish from McGill University (Canada) and in 2019, he earned his Master’s Degree in Teaching Spanish Language and Culture from the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Spain).

Since 2006, Juan Carlos has taught all levels of French and Spanish in different institutions of Cuba, Canada, and the U.S. He is very interested in helping his students achieve language accuracy, cultural awareness, and pronunciation mastery.

When not working with languages, you may see Juan Carlos biking, going camping, playing volleyball, or being in contact with nature.
