Questions

Do you have classes for children?

No, we are a language program aimed at adult education and therefore do not accept students who are younger than 15 years of age.

Where do classes take place?

All of our group classes are currently being taught online via Zoom. However, we hope to offer some courses in a classroom setting soon, and we do offer private classes in-person if requested. Online class options will always remain in place even once we're able to get back to the classroom more regularly.

Are textbooks and other learning materials provided by the school?

Textbooks are not provided by the school and must be purchased separately by each student. We recommend purchasing a used copy via Amazon or a similar online seller. All other learning materials (e.g.-worksheets, study guides, etc.) will be provided by the school. You do not need any lab or online access codes from these textbooks.

Are all of your instructors native speakers?

All of our instructors are either native speakers or highly experienced teachers who have advanced degrees in their respective languages, as well as who have spent much time in countries in which their respective languages are spoken.

How do I know which level is right for me?

If you’re not a beginner but are unsure of which level is best for you, please feel free to contact us using the form at the bottom of this page and we'd be happy to help you set up a free 15-minute consultation with one of our instructors who will be able to recommend an appropriate level.

What if I take my first class and feel that the level isn’t right for me?

Let us know right away! As long as you let us know before your second week of classes, we can easily transfer you to a more appropriate level.

What if I don’t see the language that I’m looking for?

Contact us! We’ll put you on a waiting list and alert you once we have enough interest to form a class.

Do you offer classes on the weekends?

We are closed on Sundays, but we do offer some group classes on Saturdays! Private lessons are also available on weekends depending on the availability of our instructors.

What if I don’t see a schedule that works for me?

Let us know! We’ll do our best to create an option that will work for you.

What is your refund policy?

• Group Classes (Standard and Accelerated): Refunds are not granted if a student has attended more than 1 week in a package of Standard or Accelerated group classes. If a student requests a refund before the 2nd week of their package, the refund will be allotted within 5-7 business days.

• Private, Semi-Private, and Private Group Lessons: Refunds are not granted if a student has attended more than 2 hours of private, semi-private, or private group lessons. However, these hours do not expire until one year after the purchase date and can be used at any time within this period.

What if I can’t attend one of the group classes during the session?

If you are unable to attend one of the group classes during the session, whether it is due to a prior commitment, illness, or emergency, you may request a private, 30-minute make-up lesson with your instructor for the price of $25. These make-up classes are not obligatory, so you may also simply ask your instructor to send you any important classwork or homework that you may have missed via email so you can catch up before your next class.

What if I have to cancel a private/semi-private/private group lesson with my instructor?

Students must notify teachers at least 24 hours in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, otherwise the scheduled time will be deducted from their total number of hours purchased.

Can I take a class at Boston Language Hub to receive high school or college credit?

Most high schools and universities do not accept the completion of classes through Boston Language Hub for academic credit; however, exceptions are sometimes made and are dependent upon each school or university’s unique requirements regarding curriculum and hours completed. Please check in with an academic advisor at your institute. We are happy to provide any information necessary for an academic advisor to ascertain whether one of our courses may be accepted as credit towards a high school diploma or college degree.

Are any scholarships or financial aid available?

We are not able to offer scholarships or financial aid at this time, but we run periodic discounts so please check our website or join our email list for our latest offers!
