Russian Short Stories & Fairy Tales

Course Description

In this workshop, we'll read excerpts from classic short stories by authors like Aleksander Pushkin and Anton Chekov, as well as fairy tales such as "Жар-птица и царевна Василиса (The Firebird and Princess Vasilisa)" and "Золотой башмачок (The Golden Slipper)" in Russian. Each week we will cover a different author and story. We'll go over key vocabulary, talk a bit about the history of the works, and have discussions in Russian about the readings. This is a perfect practice hour for lovers of literature and fairy tales!
