Russian - High Beginner 3

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: August 17 – October 19 (*No class September 7th and October 12th in recognition of Labor Day and Indigenous Peoples' Day respectively). Builds upon the foundation begun in previous level by focusing on dialogue, listening skills, and accent improvement. Short stories and texts will be introduced to improve reading comprehension. Students will learn to distinguish between different verb tenses in relation to describing actions in the past and present. Videos and songs will also be used to improve oral comprehension. Topics: hobbies, food, routines/everyday activities Objectives: reading and writing cursive, days of the week, months, telling time, motion verbs, the simple past tense, expressing wants/needs, and continuation of cases
