Our Classes
We offer language classes designed specifically for adults, with a focus on real-world communication from day one, even at the Beginner level. Our teaching is rooted in the communicative approach, with student-centered, interactive instruction that emphasizes practical application and fluency. Through context-based and task-based learning, students engage with functional language in real-world scenarios rather than relying solely on vocabulary memorization and grammar drills. We also incorporate authentic materials, such as recent news articles, songs, and video clips, to create an immersive environment that helps you build confidence and use the language you're learning naturally in everyday situations.

Whether you prefer in-person or online learning, all of our classes are taught live and are never recorded, so you can engage, ask questions, and practice in a low-pressure environment in real time.
Our Levels
FOREIGN LANGUAGES​ At BLH, we recognize that every language has its own unique learning journey. To better support our students and create more realistic, effective progression pathways, we’ve sorted the languages we offer into 3 categories based on factors such as grammatical structure, vocabulary similarity to English, pronunciation, and writing systems. While all of our programs are designed to help students build confidence and communicative ability, some languages naturally require more time and developmental stages to reach the same level of proficiency. Our category system helps ensure that each language is taught at a pace that is both supportive and academically appropriate for long-term success.

ENGLISH (ESL)​ We understand that every English learner begins with different experiences, goals, and levels of exposure to the language. Our 12-level English program is designed to support steady, confidence-building progress in speaking, listening, reading, writing, and real-world communication skills at every stage of the learning journey. In the chart below, you can read more about what you'll be able to do by the completion of each of our levels.
PRIVATE LESSONS​ Our private lessons are designed to provide a personalized and flexible learning experience tailored to each student’s individual goals, interests, and learning style. Whether you are learning for travel, work, school, family, conversation, or personal enrichment, our instructors can customize materials, pacing, and lesson focus to meet your specific needs. Private lessons are available in all languages currently offered at Boston Language Hub and can be scheduled to fit your availability.

SPECIALIZED PROGRAMS In addition to our standard language programs, BLH also offers a variety of specialty classes designed to help students build targeted skills for specific personal, academic, and professional goals. Specialty offerings may include courses such as Business English, Spanish Reading & Writing, Travel Workshops, Refresher Sessions, Accent Reduction Workshops, and more. These focused programs allow students to strengthen specific areas of communication while continuing to develop overall confidence and fluency.
