Russian - Beginner

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: October 15 – December 10 (*No classs on November 26 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday). Introduction to basic phrases and vocabulary with an emphasis on pronunciation and fundamental grammar. Students will learn to introduce themselves and talk about their daily activities. Topics: family, work, studies, and travel Objectives: Cyrillic alphabet, phonetics, pronouns, possessive pronouns, numbers, colors, simple nouns and adjectives, gender and number agreement, the simple present tense, and introduction to cases
