Japanese Short Stories & Fairy Tales

Course Description

4 weeks: Jan 17 – Feb 7 Perfect for students preparing for the JLPT: In this workshop, we'll read excerpts from short stories by current authors such as Haruki Murakami and Keigo Higashino, as well as classic fairy tales such as "桃太郎 (Momotaro)" and "かさ地蔵 (Kasajizo)" in Japanese. Each week we will cover a different author and story. We'll go over key vocabulary, talk a bit about the history of the works, and have discussions in Japanese about the readings.
