Japanese - Beginner

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: October 14 – December 9 (*No class on November 25 in recognition of the Thanksgiving holiday). Introduces both hiragana and katakana scripts, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, simple sentence structure, and common expressions. The primary focus of this level is on building a foundation in grammar, pronunciation, conversational phrases, and reading/writing skills. Also introduces telling time and forming interrogatives.
