German - Intermediate 1

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: February 16 – April 6. Students will build on their grammar foundation and contextualize both familiar and new subjects. Cultural themes such as German traditions and holidays will be incorporated. Both written material and videos will be used to improve reading and oral comprehension. Focus will also be on vocabulary development. • Topics: vacation, holidays, shopping, and the household • Objectives: the simple future tense, reflexive verbs and pronouns, adjective and adverb declination, and infinitives with zu Textbook: Deutsch - Na klar!, 7th Edition, Chapter 6-7
