Jasmyne Raneri

Italian & English Instructor 
 

Jasmyne is a passionate language educator with over a decade of experience teaching Italian and English to students from a variety of backgrounds. Her teaching style is rooted in the communicative approach, fostering an engaging, low-pressure environment where students feel confident practicing and applying their skills through real-world interactions. She has taught both group classes and private lessons to learners of all levels, tailoring her approach to meet each student's unique needs and goals.

Jasmyne holds a master’s degree in Italian Literature and Culture and has been teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) since 2015. She has also spent significant time living, studying, and teaching in Italy. From 2011 to 2012, she studied in Venice and Padova, and in 2023, she conducted literary research in Rome and Florence as the recipient of the Sue L. Nguyen travel prize. In addition to these extended stays, she has returned to Italy at various intervals, further deepening her connection to the culture and language. She loves helping students connect language learning to authentic experiences, whether through interactive lessons or cultural events.

 

In addition to teaching Italian and English at BLH, Jasmyne is an adjunct professor of Italian at Boston College. She also holds an MBA from Brandeis University, a bachelor’s degree in Painting from Boston University, and TEFL certification.

When she’s not teaching, Jasmyne enjoys painting, reading, traveling, and exploring connections between art, language, and culture.
