Japanese - Beginner

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: May 17 – July 19 (*No class on May 24th and July 5th in recognition of Memorial Day weekend and July 4th weekend). Introduces both hiragana and katakana scripts, pronunciation, basic vocabulary, simple sentence structure, and common expressions. The primary focus of this level is on building a foundation in grammar, pronunciation, conversational phrases, and reading/writing skills. Also introduces telling time and forming interrogatives.
