Greek Conversation Hour

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week. Registration is for a consecutive 4-week period from the date selected in the calendar at checkout. Class is conducted almost entirely in Greek and is designed for students who are comfortable speaking the language at an intermediate level or higher but would like to practice their skills and continue to improve. We aim to help students increase the fluidity of their speech, expand their vocabulary, become more well-versed on various topics, refine their accents, learn idiomatic phrases and slang, etc. Students interested in joining this class should be able to hold a conversation at a basic level and should be open to discussing a wide variety of topics. Audio and written materials such as newspaper articles, excerpts from novels, and videos will be used to prompt conversations. Students’ interests are taken into account and grammar topics will be addressed as needed. All resources will be either provided or suggested by the instructor.
