German - High Beginner 1

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: January 13 – March 3. This level is designed for students who have completed the Beginner German course or who have some basic experience in German. Building upon a solid foundation in grammar, this level focuses on dialogue, listening skills, and accent improvement. Short stories and texts will also be introduced to improve reading comprehension. • Topics - hobbies, interests, like/dislikes, and food • Objectives - the accusative case, the dative case, verbs with separable prefixes, modal auxiliaries, the simple interrogative, and the imperative Textbook: Deutsch - Na klar!, 7th Edition, Chapter 2–3
