German - Beginner

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: September 8 - November 3. *No class October 13 in recognition of Indigenous Peoples' Day. Introduction to basic phrases and vocabulary with an emphasis on pronunciation and fundamental grammar. Students will learn to introduce themselves and talk about their daily activities. Topics: family, work, studies, and travel Objectives: pronouns, possessive pronouns, numbers, colors, simple nouns and adjectives, gender and number agreement, basic word order, the simple present tense, and negation in the simple present tense Textbook: Deutsch - Na klar!, 7th Edition, Introduction-Chapter 2)
