Spanish - Intermediate 1

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: May 6 – June 24. Students will learn about different cultural points such as traditions and holidays in different Spanish-speaking regions of the world. Both written material and videos will be used to improve reading and oral comprehension. Focus will also be on vocabulary development, complex grammar topics, and speaking practice. Topics: food, health, parts of the body, technology Objectives: adverbs, irregular preterits, “qué” and “cual”, the impersonal “se”, double-object pronouns, indefinite adjectives, informal commands, “por” and “para”, and comparative and superlative adjectives
