Course Description
This is a standard class that meets once per week for 8 consecutive weeks: February 5 – March 26. Perfect for students who have completed the Beginner level program or who have a strong foundation in basic French, this level focuses on developing conversation skills and improving oral comprehension, including accent refinement. Text and audio resources will be introduced to improve both reading and listening abilities. Students will be introduced to new vocabulary and will become comfortable describing actions in the present tense, as well as conversing about their everyday activities and preferences. Topics: descriptions, hobbies, interests, like/dislikes, food, cooking, media, health, and the body Objectives: adjectives, infinitive verbs (-er, -ir, -re), the simple present tense, direct and indirect object pronouns, prepositions, expressing likes and dislikes, telling time, reflexive verbs, and interrogatives Textbook: Contacts (8th Edition), Units 3-4, Lessons 7-12
