Conversazione e Caffè

Course Description

This is a standard class that meets once per week for 4 consecutive weeks: February 3 – February 24. Beviamo caffè e parliamo!– Class is conducted almost entirely in Italian and is designed for students who are comfortable speaking the language at an intermediate level or higher but would like to practice their skills and continue to improve. Free coffee and/or tea provided. We aim to help students increase the fluidity of their speech, expand their vocabulary, become more well-versed on various topics, refine their accents, and learn idiomatic phrases and slang. Students interested in joining this class should be able to hold a conversation at a basic level and should be open to discussing a wide variety of topics. Audio and written materials such as magazine articles, excerpts from novels, and videos will be used to prompt conversations. Students’ interests are taken into account and grammar topics will be addressed as needed. All resources will be either provided or suggested by the instructor. Ci vediamo presto!
